We have TVs in the ceiling to help you focus on something other than your dental work, and we are skilled at soothing patients with anxiety. Among many other restorative services, we offer oral surgery for patients who need tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal or dental implants.
- Tooth Extractions: While our goal is always to save teeth whenever possible, sometimes a tooth is beyond saving because of severe decay, damage or breakage or because it is threatening the health of adjacent teeth. We aim to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the extraction process, using a local anaesthetic. Our practice and our dentists are calm and relaxed, and we’ll walk you through the process and tooth replacement options so you know exactly what to expect.
- Wisdom Teeth Extractions: Wisdom teeth can often cause discomfort, crowd other teeth or even become impacted if there is not enough room for them to come through correctly. Removing wisdom teeth is a very common general dentistry procedure, and we’ll start with a thorough examination and X-rays to determine if your wisdom teeth are developing properly, or if they should be removed. In most cases, we can remove wisdom teeth in our office using a local anaesthetic. In more complex cases, we refer to a specialist to remove them under a general anaesthetic.
- Dental Implants: Dental implants are often the preferred choice when it comes to replacing one or more teeth. After the old tooth is extracted, we surgically implant a titanium post into your jawbone under local anaesthetic—most patients don’t feel anything. Before beginning, your dentist will explain everything and answer all of your questions to help you feel at ease with the process.
