What to Expect During Treatment
Consult
As with all our care, we begin with a consultation. We’ll talk with you about what you hope to achieve with your smile, and then Dr Branav will conduct a thorough assessment to determine if you are a candidate for clear aligners. This means you must be free of gum disease, cavities and any underlying conditions.
X-Rays
If you’re dentally fit, we’ll take X-rays and photos of your teeth, and then complete a full scan of your teeth. Using these, we’ll create a computerised mock-up of what your teeth will look like throughout the process until the end. When you’re happy with the projected final outcome, we’ll send the scans to the lab to create your aligners.
Treatment
When the aligners are ready, we’ll have you come in so we can fit the first set and give you your instructions. Typically, you’ll wear each set of aligners for two weeks and then switch to the next set until treatment is complete. You’ll wear your aligners for 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat and brush your teeth. Treatment time varies, depending on the complexity of the case, but for most people treatment is 3-18 months.
How Much Does Treatment Cost
As with other orthodontic options, the cost of Invisalign clear aligners depends on your unique situation. We will let you know in your consultation how much your treatment will cost, and we’ll explain what your payment options are. Along with Afterpay, there may be other financing options available.
